WHITNEY AND BOBBY STILL FIGHTING

In newly-released legal papers filed last month, Bobby Brown claims that his ex-wife, Whitney Houston, is actively preventing him from seeing their 14-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina.

"Whitney who has been awarded sole legal and physical custody of Bobbi Kris, has attempted to eliminate me from Bobbi Kris' life," the singer states in court documents.

Boby Brown goes on to say "I did all I could to see my daughter, he added. I evin paid approximately $10,000 for Whitney and Bobbi Kris to live in a nice hotel while Whitney was going through rehab ... I Allmost lived out of my car."

Brown filed the documents with the court right before he was photographed with a smiling (and not good looking) Houston leaving Joe's Crab Shack in Alpharetta, Ga. Amid rumors of a reconciliation, a rep for the former New Edition star said they were only meeting to discuss custody arrangements for their daughter during the forthcoming school year.

El DeBarge's Arested For Domestic Violence

El DeBarge is in the Men's Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles after an arrest for domestic violence exposed several outstanding warrants.

The singer, born Eldra DeBarge, taken into custody early Sunday accused of domestic violence. The L.A. County District Attorney rejected the charge, but the crooner had a bunch of outstanding warrants including vandalism, drugs and driving with a suspended license according to authorities.

None of the charges allow for the posting of bail, which means DeBarge will remain in custody until a hearing is scheduled.


Details of the domestic violence charge were not available at press time. The singer is reportedly separated from his wife, Monica DeBarge.

Sgt. John Coffeen told People.com that DeBarge was "cooperative" when taken into custody, and that "an arrest like this usually involves abuse of a spouse or significant other. I don't know whose house it was."

While the down on his luck singer/songwriter sits in jail, cridics note that actress Lindsey Lohan, infamous for numerous clashes with the law, including being caught with cocaine in her possession , was not only set free, but prosecutors declined to file charges.

In what appears to be a plea to ex-husband Kevin Federline, Britney goes on to sing

The song then breaks and Britney is heard on the phone saying:

A source said: "This is obviously just a demo and not a finished or official release in any way. It is a shame someone would leak unfinished, unmastered and incomplete work."

WASHINGTON — Researchers have figured out how to give an entire community a drug test using just a teaspoon of wastewater from a city's sewer plant.

The test odviously shouldn't be used to finger any one person useing. But it would help federal law enforcement and other agencies track the spread of drugs, like methamphetamines, across the country.

Oregon State University scientists tested 10 unnamed American cities for remnants of drugs, both legal and illegal, from wastewater streams. They were able to show that they could get a good snapshot of what people are taking.Is there a legality argument here I don't think so, but people have been sued for less.

"It's a community urinalysis,"Two federal agencies have taken samples from U.S. waterways to see if drug testing a whole city is doable, but they haven't gotten as far as the Oregon researchers.

One of the early results of the new study showed big differences in methamphetamine use city to city. One urban area with a gambling industry had meth levels more than five times higher than other cities. Yet methamphetamine levels were virtually nonexistent in some smaller Midwestern locales, The ingredient Americans consume and excrete the most was caffeine, Field said.That's some amazing statistic's though, I do admit.

Cities in the experiment ranged from 17,000 to 600,000 in population, but they declined to identify them, saying that could harm her relationship with the sewage plant operators.

There plans to start a survey for drugs in the wastewater of at least 40 Oregon communities. The science behind the testing is simple. Nearly every drug legal and illicit that people must leave the body. That waste goes into toilets and then into wastewater treatment plants.

"Wastewater facilities are wonderful places to understand what humans consume and excrete,".

Kirsten Dunst's Suite Get's Robbed

NEW YORK — Thieves snatched a $13,000 handbag,her cell phone and ID from "Spider-Man" star Kirsten Dunst's penthouse suite at a posh Manhattan hotel, court records shows.

Dunst was in the New York to shoot scenes for the upcoming film "How to Lose Friends and Alienate People." She had left her suite at the SoHo Grand Hotel early in August when the thieves broke in.

A surveillance camera showed the burglars leaving the hotel, according to the complaint filed in the case. It said they also got away with $2,500 in cash, credit cards, two digital cameras and an iPod music player.

One suspect, Jarrod Beinerman, 33, was being held on $50,000 bond after being arraigned in a Manhattan court Wednesday on burglary and grand larceny charges.

Beinerman's lawyer, James Kirschner, told the judge the surveillance camera showed his client wasn't carrying anything in his hands when he left the SoHo Grand. Kirschner said Beinerman had heard a movie was being filmed at the hotel and "went there to just to check out what was going on."

Authorities have since recovered the credit cards, IDs and cell phone.

Drill Instructer Goes Going To Court For Abuse

SAN DIEGO — A Marine drill instructor has been charged with over 200 criminal counts of abusing recruits, a Marines spokesman said Thursday.

In one incident, Sgt. Jerrod M. Glass allegedly ordered a recruit to jump head-first into a garbage can and then shoved him further into the container, according to court documents cited in The San Diego Union-Tribune. He is also accused of striking recruits with a tent pole and a flashlight.

Two other drill instructors, Sgt. Robert C. Hankins and Sgt. Brian M. Wendel, face special courts-martial in the case, the Marines said. Arraignment dates have not been scheduled for either Marine.

A fourth drill instructor, whose name was not released, was disciplined and reassigned to administrative duties.

Drill instructer Glass postponed making a plea during a court appearance at San Diego Marine Corps Recruit Depot, where he worked, said spokesman Austin Mansfield. The charges include 91 counts of assault, 90 of failure to obey lawful orders and 27 of cruelty and maltreatment.

The charges cover about 110 alleged incidents between Dec. 23, 2006 and Feb. 10, the Marines said in press release. No members of his platoon has been seriously injured.

Glass, who had worked as a drill sergeant for less than a year when the alleged mistreatment occurred, was relieved of duty as a drill instructor in February. He is scheduled to go to court-martial Nov. 8.

Mel Gibson Doing Just Fine

MALIBU, Calif. (AP) — Mel Gibson has been following the rules of his probation for his DUI arrest last summer, his lawyer told a judge Thursday. They say he's been on his best behavior, the actor was not required to attend the hearing.

Gibson has been required to check in with the court periodically since his July 28, 2006, misdemeanor drunken driving arrest on Pacific Coast Highway.

The Academy Award-winning director of 1995's "Braveheart" pleaded no contest to the charge on Aug. 17, 2006, and was given three years' probation, ordered to pay $1,400 in fines and attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. His attendance at AA meetings is now voluntary.

Gibson, who's starred in the "Lethal Weapons" movies and directed "The Passion of The Christ" and "Apocalypto," has apologized for making anti-Semitic comments at the time of his arrest.And it seems to have died down as far as we can tell.

His next court appearance was set for Feb. 15.

Porn Stars Going To Trial For Murder

TRUCKSVILLE, Pa. — Two gay porn actors will go to trial on charges they murdered a rival porn executive.Judge James E. Tupper ruled that, based on the testimony of 14 witnesses during a two-day hearing, there was enough evidence against Harlow Cuadra and Joseph Kerekes for both men to go to trial. They are charged with murdering Cobra Video executive and gay porn kingpin Bryan Kocis.

"It sucks," Harlow Cuadra said to reporters when asked how he felt as he left the courtroom. "I didn't do it. I didn't kill that man."

But police say Cuadra and Kerekes killed Kocis because of a dispute involving actor Sean Lockhart, known in the adult film industry as Brent Corrigan.

Police say Cuadra, 25, and Kerekes, 33, went to Kocis' Dallas, Pa., home Jan. 24 and slashed his throat, damn near decapitating him. After he was dead, they stabbed him 28 times and burned his body and home to hide the crime, according to police documents.

Kocis' body was found that night by firefighters responding to the fire. Police acuse Cuadra and Kerekes of gaining access to the porn executive's home by tricking him into thinking Cuadra was a new model who was interested in making a movie for Cobra Video.

Both men continued to assert their innocence as they were led separately out of the courtroom flanked by state police officers.

"I was never in that house, and I intend to get an expert to prove that," Kerekes said.

During the hearing, prosecutors showed nearly 40 gruesome photos of Kocis' body and the wounds he sustained. We will bring them to you when made public, just something your begging to see Im sure.

They also showed a surveillance video of both men in a gun store, where Cuadra purchased a gun and a knife, as well as semi-nude photos prosecutors say Cuadra e-mailed to Kocis. A state police captain testified the knife purchased could be capable of killing Kocis and inflicting the wounds he sustained.

Grant Roy, an adult film producer who knew both Cuadra and Kerekes, recounted a taped conversation he had with both men at a nude beach called Black's Beach in San Diego, Calif. on April 28.

Expert Witness Discredits Prosecution's Theory On Clarkson's Death

LOS ANGELES — Did Lana Clarkson die immediately after a gun discharged in her mouth, or did she survive long enough to take a few blood-choked breaths?

The length of time between gunshot and death has turned into a critical issue in Phil Spector's murder trial as the case slowly come's to a conclusion.

The Spector's defense has suggested Clarkson may have aspirated blood, offering a benign explanation for some of the prosecution's most damning evidence — tiny red drops on Spector's jacket.

A defense expert insisted that blood in Clarkson's lungs is proof she breathed in after a bullet from a .38 Special struck her spinal cord Feb. 3, 2003.

Dr. Werner Spitz, a Michigan forensic pathologist who testified previously in the case, returned to the stand to describe a mixture of air and blood in the air sacs of Clarkson's lungs, which he said could only be the result of a drawn breath.

He rejected a prosecution expert's testimony earlier this week that gravity forced the blood into Clarkson's lungs.Prosecutors claim Clarkson was immediately incapacitated by the injury. They have said the 18 spots on Spector's white dinner jacket are proof he was standing within 3 feet of Clarkson when the gun went off.

"I didn't even know that until I read this. There will be an intake of air and expulsion of air for a period of time," Spitz said.

Spitz, whose career spans 54 years, acknowledged that it had been five decades since he studied physiology, but refused to concede the point.

He said that perhaps the bullet had only partially torn the spinal cord, allowing some nerve signals to get through, but that in the end, the blood in the lungs left no doubt that breathing took place.

Only one of the 17 panelists took notes consistently during his time on the witness stand.And that is never good.

The defense is to call the final witnesses in the trial Monday. Scheduled to testify are two of Clarkson's friends, Jennifer Hayes-Riedl and Punkin Irene Elizabeth Laughlin. Both women previously described Clarkson as depressed at the time of her death.

The Plea of guilty by Michael Vick, and his on charges related to dog fighting, has focused the country's attention on animal cruelty, and dog fighting in particular. In July, federal prosecutors alleged that the Atlanta Falcons quarterback bought and sponsored dogs for the purpose of dog fighting, traveled across state lines to engage in illegal activities, including gambling, and helped kill several dogs that didn't pass muster as fighters. Three co-defendants in the Vick case have already pleaded guilty to reduced charges.And Michael has done the same that story is old news I'm hear to ask you do you know what to do when you spot animal cruelty?

There are many types of animal abuse. Animals can be abused anywhere from homes to zoo's, or even pet stores. The Vick indictment has brought new attention to dog fighting, but other types of animals--most notably gamecocks--are also used for fighting. In addition to fighting, animal abuse can also include:

Neglecting an animal by locking them in a car during hot weather, or leaving them in other locations without food, water or shelter
Abandoning a pet
Maliciously hurting, torturing, maiming or killing an animal
Hording animals
Failing to provide medical care to sick or injured animals that one owns
Because animals are largely silent victims, who can't reach out to authorities themselves, law-enforcement officials must often rely on witness such as friends and neighbors to bring cruelty, abuse and neglect to their attention.

If in doubt about whether particular behavior constitutes abuse, it's better to err on the side of caution and report the suspected abuse to officials

Interesting to note that the lawsuit has been dismissed, with the judge finding it had been filed in the wrong venue. From the Online Dating Industry Journal:

A lawsuit filed last year against the controversial Don't Date Him Girl Website has been dismissed. The lawsuit, filed by Todd Hollis, a lawyer, was for defamation for Don't Date Him Girl allowing a poster to "anonymously" post lies about him, something the site has been accused of mre than just twice.

According to judge R. Stanton Wettick, the "Defendant’s Web site is accessible to anyone connected to the Internet anywhere in the world. Under plaintiff’s argument, defendant could be hauled into court in any state for any controversy. This result would be inconsistent with the Supreme Court’s understanding of the requirements of due process."

The judge was referring to the lawsuit being filed in the wrong venue. Since Don't Date Him Girl resides in Florida, the lawsuit should have been filed in Florida, according to the judge. The suit had been filed in Pennsylvania. Thus leaving a potential option for Hollis to once again go after Don't Date Him Girl.

This suit could be interesting. The owner of the site disclaims liability from anonymous postings on the site under the Communication Decency Act of 1996.

Given the fact that this site was just asking for someone to publish defamatory comments with the idea of harming the reputation of that person in mind as they do it, I just am not seeing that the owner is going to find a judge (probably a male judge at that) very sympathetic to her cause. After all, the CDA was meant to let ISPs off the hook for what their customers put on their personal webpages, it was not meant to create a loophole to allow defamation-with-impunity. I say that's nonsence and don't think this case will go far.
