Dont Hate Him Is Being Sued the writing was on the wall for this to happen it was only matter of time because all of the ingredients are there:
Anonymous postings
About dating and/or sexual experiences
Of specific individuals
Including their picture, if you have one.
This suit could be interesting. The owner of the site disclaims liability from anonymous postings on the site under the Communication Decency Act of 1996.
Given the fact that this site was just asking for someone to publish defamatory comments with the idea of harming the reputation of that person in mind as they do it, I just am not seeing that the owner is going to find a judge (probably a male judge at that) very sympathetic to her cause. After all, the CDA was meant to let ISPs off the hook for what their customers put on their personal webpages, it was not meant to create a loophole to allow defamation-with-impunity. I say that's nonsence and don't think this case will go far.
